DAYS SINCE WE BEGAN THE BARGAINING PROCESS. WE ARE UNITED AND WE WILL MAKE CHANGE.

Recall Update

We wanted to advise of further recalls to Air Canada Rouge which are solely as a result of members declining positions at Air Canada Rouge. As of yesterday, a total of 440 recall letters to Air Canada Rouge have been sent out, with the most junior person being recalled holding seniority number 20425.

As a reminder if your recall is to Air Canada Rouge, and you are a Mainline member, you do not need to accept but you must still reply to the recall notice. In this case you have up to 14 calendar days to reply to the employer advising that you are not interested in the recall but wish to be maintained on the seniority list for future recalls.

Please see the below chart which based on your recall date advises of the applicable deadlines to reply:

Cabin Air Quality Webinar Series

We have received a lot of positive feedback about the cabin air quality webinar which took place on September 16, 2020. Unfortunately, many of our members were unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts and have expressed interest in additional opportunities to learn about this issue.

In order to accommodate those members and to expand on the subject for those who are already familiar with the topic, the Union, in collaboration with the GCAQE, is pleased to announce a full series of webinars.

We would especially like to highlight:

  • For those who missed the Cabin Air Quality for Beginners on September 16th, it will be repeated in December and January.
  • The GCAQE and the Union will be running a presentation specific to the Canadian airline industry on November 19th.
