EAP Update – September 2026
September always feels like a turning of the page.
Even for those of us who are long past school schedules, there is something about this month that still carries that “fresh notebook” feeling. New routines, new goals, a little more structure, and a chance to reset after the fullness of summer.
For our flying community, September can also bring its own kind of shift. Summer flying begins to settle, families return to familiar rhythms, and many of us start looking ahead to what the next season will ask of us, personally, professionally, and emotionally.
This month’s bulletin focuses on awareness, support, and the importance of meaningful connection. We recognize World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10, a reminder that honest conversations, early support, and checking in on one another can truly matter. September is also Recovery Month, giving us an opportunity to celebrate healing, reduce stigma, and honour the many different paths people take toward wellness. On September 30, we also observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation / Orange Shirt Day, a time for reflection, learning, and remembrance.
As we step into September, may this month feel like an invitation to begin again — with compassion, curiosity, and care for ourselves and one another.
