DAYS SINCE WE BEGAN THE BARGAINING PROCESS. WE ARE UNITED AND WE WILL MAKE CHANGE.

A NEW Mobile-friendly Tool to Take Notes of Fume Event Symptoms

We’ve met hundreds of you in airports over the last few weeks. THANK YOU for taking the time to share your experiences with us! We know from our conversations that fume events ARE happening, and that some of you ARE experiencing physical or psychosocial consequences as a result.

But many of you say it’s challenging to follow up because it’s hard to remember symptoms later, and e-reporting tools aren’t easily accessible “on the fly”.

Because of this, we’ve worked on a simple, mobile-friendly tool you can use to take your own notes if you feel ill following a fume event.

1. Access the Note Tool on the union’s Fume Event Portal or bookmark THIS LINK.

2. Click on the symptoms you’ve experienced.

3. Type in any specific notes if you want.

4. Click submit and receive it all back in a clear, concise email.

We want you to be able to do the correct follow-up, which includes helping you keep notes that you can refer to later for your reports, medical follow-up etc.

Stay safe, take notes, document, and be part of positive change.

In solidarity,

Your Air Canada Component of CUPE Health and Safety Committee
