DAYS SINCE WE BEGAN THE BARGAINING PROCESS. WE ARE UNITED AND WE WILL MAKE CHANGE.

Abuse of Management Rights

As many of you are well aware, the Company did not process all advances for Cabin Crew and Pilots on Friday August 29, 2025.

Many of you reached out and advised the Union of the financial hardship this placed you in, and the stress it caused with rent, bills and other necessities you needed, but yet could not afford to get based on the lack of payment received.

The Union reached out to the employer on this and was assured assistance would be afforded if you reached out.  If you have reached out and did not receive a reply, or it was not satisfactory, please ensure you send a copy to pay@accomponent.ca. And please remember to always copy pay@accomponent.ca when you are reaching out to the company with regards to pay related issues.

The Union has filed a grievance today (CLICK HERE).

The premise of this grievance is to ensure this is noted, the Company makes correct changes to ensure this never happens again, and they own the mistake.  An unsigned bulletin from the employer does not cut it, and this came out at a time where morale is at an all time low, and the brand is dealing with some major setbacks.

Something needs to give at this point, and the Union will continue to push to have the respect we deserve brought forward.

As previously reported, there have been countless pay issues over the years, and the company has not been quick enough to address them. Your pay is crucial to your livelihood and wellbeing.

Please click HERE to view the bulletin we issued on Friday August 29, 2025 regarding the payroll issue.

Govern yourselves accordingly, in solidarity,

Wesley Lesosky
President, Air Canada Component of CUPE
