DAYS SINCE WE BEGAN THE BARGAINING PROCESS. WE ARE UNITED AND WE WILL MAKE CHANGE.

Bargaining Committee Update – 20 – AWARDS DON’T PAY THE BILLS. A FAIR CONTRACT DOES.

Air Canada proudly announced it has been named Best Airline in North America at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, also earning Best Cabin Crew in North America and Best Cabin Crew in Canada, among several other accolades.

We won’t argue with the results — our members earned every single one.

This recognition is built entirely on the backs of Flight Attendants and front-line workers who show up every day with professionalism, heart, and resilience. These awards are the direct result of your commitment, your labour, and your sacrifices.

But let’s be absolutely clear:

– No award, no headline, no photo op feeds a family or pays rent.

– No customer satisfaction survey can erase ten years of a contract with no meaningful improvements.

– No Shine points or travel pass replaces real, enforceable workplace protections.

We thank the company for handing out positive space passes as a gesture of thanks. We’ll accept the gesture, but we will not accept it as a substitute for the fair wages, improved working conditions, and respect at the bargaining table that you have gone far too long without.

While management celebrates an award, our members are still waiting for what truly matters — a contract that reflects your value, your contributions, and your lived reality on the job.

Enough delay. Enough distractions. We don’t want perks. We want respect.

We want a fair contract and we want it now.

In strength and solidarity,

Your Bargaining Committee
