The Company has advised the Union that the expenses have gone up 9.05% and will be effective as of the March 2026 block month.

We sent the following questions, regarding both Mainline and Rouge members, to better understand the process of the retro pay, please see below just received from Labour today:

1. Will the company allow those on sick insurance to STAY or HOLD their payment should they wish to so and how would one do this?  Concern being they will show earnings and a new ROE may need to be generated while on claim.
Response: Yes, as per our normal practise, employees who are not active on the payroll at the time of payment whether on an LOA, WIP/STD, or SPD will have their retro payment held in “staging” until they return to work. These employees may request payment release through the HR COE or Rouge HR, but they may be impacted negatively should they receive these funds (reduced WIP earnings, employment insurance overpayments, etc). It is the employee requesting the payout’s responsibility to validate any potential impacts on those benefits should they request a payout of their contractual retro while on leave.

2. How will members be able to verify the retro active component?  Will there be a breakdown of earnings supplied to them?
Response: Employees will receive the retro amount on a separate pay stub, so the total amount will be identifiable to them. For the July 2025 to January 2026 block months, they’ll also be able to see the new rates applied in Rainmaker with retro calculation.

3. What date is the Company anticipating payments to be made?
Response: As issued in communication to cabin personnel our goal is issue payment as quickly as possible, but no later than March 31, 2026.

4. If a member resigns effective the date of the award, can you confirm if they will be paid their earner retroactive payment?
Response: Any employee who has resigned or retired after April 1, 2025 will be entitled to retro pay for any earnings between April 1, 2025 and the start of the February 2026 block month. This will also apply to employees who resigned via MOS on a without prejudice basis. We are prioritizing payments to current employees so their retro may be paid on a separate date. Earning for the February 2026 block month will be paid at the new rates on their regular pay cheque on March 17th.

5. If a member has retired since April 2025, can you confirm if they will receive their earned retroactive payment?
Response: See answer to question 4.

Govern yourselves accordingly, in solidarity,

Your Bargaining Committee
