On behalf of your Bargaining Committee, we want to thank the hundreds of members who were able to participate in the Bargaining Committee Zoom Roadshow yesterday. We understand that not all members were able to attend but we felt as though the entire membership was there in spirit. We commit wholeheartedly to foster unity and collaboration with you during the bargaining process and beyond.
To ensure our collective commitment and optimum success with this round of negotiations we ask each of you to make the time to stay informed and to take advantage of our numerous information avenues. Over the coming months we will be sharing information via:

We will not provide information about bargaining proposals, strategies and “next moves” on informal Facebook groups because we do not have control over who sees this information. Through regular meetings we can share vital information freely. It is our firm belief that our Union principles and practices include the voices of each member.
This journey should be taken together, and we strongly encourage all members to attend all possible meetings and to reach out to us via email at contact@accomponent.ca if they have questions. We want to hear from you. No question is too challenging, we are here to answer all queries, including the tough ones. There may be stages in the bargaining process that require us not to share all information as it could impact a potential deal. We will share what we can as we know how important and powerful an informed membership is.
Some members have asked that the Zoom meetings be recorded, however we feel that these meetings should be an open forum where everyone can share their opinions freely. We intend to have future Zoom meetings as the one yesterday was well attended and we have had a huge outpour of questions following the call.

These Roadshows will also be held via Zoom. Registration is required to attend each Roadshow. Look for bulletins with the link to register closer to each Roadshow date.

Solidarity is not a passive sentiment. It is the active participation and commitment of every member that strengthens our collective power. When each of us stands together and engages fully, we are not only defending our rights but also shaping the future of our community. The success of our union depends on the strength of our collective action, and that strength lies in the participation of every member.
