DAYS SINCE WE BEGAN THE BARGAINING PROCESS. WE ARE UNITED AND WE WILL MAKE CHANGE.

Black History Month

February marks Black History Month, a time to reflect on and celebrate the achievements, contributions, and resilience of Black individuals throughout history. It is an opportunity to recognize the profound impact Black communities have had in shaping our society, industries, and labor movements.

From the Civil Rights Movement to the ongoing fight for equity in the workplace, Black leaders and activists have paved the way for justice and progress. In the labor movement, figures such as A. Philip Randolph, who organized the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, played a pivotal role in securing workers’ rights and advancing racial equality. Their efforts continue to inspire today’s labor unions and the push for fair treatment, better working conditions, and equal opportunities for all.

As we honor Black History Month, we reaffirm our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity in our workplace. We acknowledge that the fight for social and economic justice is ongoing, and we stand together in fostering an environment of respect and empowerment.

Black History is not just about the past – it is about shaping a better future. Together, we can honor the legacy of Black leaders and continue to push forward toward a more inclusive and fair society.

In solidarity,
