DAYS SINCE WE BEGAN THE BARGAINING PROCESS. WE ARE UNITED AND WE WILL MAKE CHANGE.

Changes to Travel Policy

The Union has been consulting with members who have been impacted by a change to the policy and process relating to the travel privileges for members on leave due to illness or injury.  These changes are having an impact on some of the travel requests that members have sent.  We consulted with Air Canada who has confirmed and clarified what the specific changes are.  There is a new policy posted on the travel website.

We have reviewed this carefully with legal counsel and have determined that we are not in agreement with these changes. We have therefore filed a policy grievance (Click HERE to view).  If you are impacted by these changes when requesting permission to travel while booked off please reach out to your Local Office. They can examine the circumstances and determine whether a grievance is warranted.

In Solidarity,

Wesley Lesosky
