days until our Collective Agreement expires, we are preparing, we are united and we will make change.

Coronavirus Update 21

As countries begin to adopt the wearing of masks as a general precautionary measure to control the spread of COVID-19, the Union wishes to remind its members of the following:

  • Certain countries may implement (with little notice) mandatory use of face coverings.
  • The standard advice for layovers remains that the safest thing is to remain at the hotel and order room service. However, the Union recognizes that this may not always be possible, depending on the destination, dietary needs etc.
  • As a precaution, please ensure to always have a mask on hand for use if it becomes necessary to leave the hotel – regardless of destination.
  • Members may wish to bring their own personal mask for use on layover, and the Union strongly encourages the continued respectful use of company-provided PPE.
