Layoff Update 2

As many of you are navigating the EI/CERB route we wanted to update you on a few items.

Where is my Record of Employment (ROE)?
If you are a MAINLINE employee, your ROE will be submitted to Service Canada electronically on July 13, 2020.  Your final pay will be July 17, 2020.

If you are a ROUGE employee, your ROE will be submitted to Service Canada on July 17, 2020.  Your final pay will be July 17, 2020.

I have money owed to me from the Deferred Salary Program (DSP), when will I have my money?
The June block month will close off July 10th, after that time, the company will be able to start working on the DSP payments.

I have questions regarding EI application, CERB and my eligibility, where do I go?

eClaims – Update
The Union has been advised that the company is working through a large back log of eClaims.  Approximately 1075 will be process for an off cycle payment tomorrow and the remaining will be done later this month, once completed

We understand many of you have reached out in regards to losing access to Yammer to ask questions, please know you can still reach out to your Union and we will work to get you the answers you require to make this transition as smooth as possible.  We recognize the difficulties and challenges you are all facing, and please know we are here to assist.  We also wish to remind you that EAP services are still available to all active employees.  These services are also available to all inactive employees, Mainline and Rouge, until December 31, 2020, please reach out as needed.

We will keep you posted on anything further that comes up that will assist you as needed.
