Good news! We’ve teamed up with the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW), like we did back in 2023, to run Stress Assess. The survey’s all about understanding the psychological and social factors that affect people like you in the workplace.
A lot of you have said you want to have the psychological and social climate at work documented. This is your chance!
The survey’s voluntary and run by a third party. All responses are anonymous, and only high-level data will be used for the report that we get at the Union. No one at the Union (or company) will receive your detailed answers.
LET’S BEAT THOSE NUMBERS!
In 2023 a total of 4,584 people completed the questionnaire, representing 46.8% of the membership
And THAT was back when the survey took 25 minutes to complete (it takes 10-12 now)!
NEW in 2025:
- We’ve shortened the length of the survey by HALF! Expect 10-12 minutes
- The survey will now run annually to better track how we’re doing. Think of it as a yearly report card on how the workplace is affecting you.
Why fill it out? Here are few things that the 2023 survey helped us with:
- A critical incident and stress management (CISM) program – a huge investment in your mental health.
- Incorporating diversity training into our work using tools such as the Government of Canada’s GBA+ model.
- Launch of the LivingWorks ASIST Suicide First Aid workshops.
- Improved communication, including revamped new hire presentations that use interactive tech, increased workplace outreach, and greater collaboration between your union’s committees, and better tools to help you stay in touch (think passport holders).
- Detailed demographic info that supports initiatives like the Unpaid Work campaign.
