We are excited by the response we’ve received to the recent posting for Airline Division CISM Program Coordinator! As part of this interest, some of you have asked for clarification about a key criterion:
“Commitment solely to the CISM Program Coordinator role (must not hold other Union positions).”
Clarification:
If you currently occupy a union role, that does not preclude you from applying for the position. There are provisions built into the approved program which account for a transition over a period of time (18 months max). Once this specified time has elapsed, the candidate would need to commit solely to the role of AD CISM Program Coordinator. They would then fly part-time and hold the CISM Program Coordinator position part-time.
NOTE: A candidate transitioning from one union role to the CISM Program Coordinator would, however, need to be able to devote up to half their schedule to program-related duties.
Candidates currently in an active flying schedule as cabin crew are also encouraged to apply for this job posting. As active cabin crew, they would continue to fly part-time and hold the CISM Program Coordinator position part-time.
We thank those who reached out to us seeking this important clarification, and encourage those interested to reach out to contact@accomponent.ca should they have any questions.
In solidarity,
Your Airline Division Council of Presidents
