This Labour Day, we take a moment to recognize the incredible contributions of workers across Canada, and to celebrate you, the flight attendants who bring care, professionalism, and resilience to the skies every single day. Labour Day is a chance to reflect on the progress that workers have achieved together, while also appreciating the strength and dedication you show in your work and in your solidarity with one another.
The rights and protections we enjoy today did not come easily. They were won through the courage and determination of generations of working people who believed in fairness and dignity on the job. As flight attendants, you carry this proud legacy forward. The professionalism, compassion, and commitment you bring to your role not only make air travel possible, but ensure that countless passengers feel safe, cared for, and respected.
But our fight is not over. Flight attendants continue to face the injustice of unpaid work, and Labour Day is a powerful reminder that no worker should give their time, energy, or expertise without fair compensation. Our collective voice is strong, and together we will continue to push until every minute of your work is properly valued and recognized.
