When workers stand together, we are stronger. As we mark Labour Day, we recognize the generations of workers who stood together to fight for the rights and protections that many of us benefit from today.
Labour Day is more than a long weekend. It is a reminder that the progress workers have achieved was made possible because they organized, spoke up, and stood together.
This Labour Day, we also recognize those members who will be at work while others enjoy the holiday. Flight Attendants work around the clock, on weekends and holidays, keeping Canada’s aviation system moving and caring for passengers every day of the year. Your professionalism and commitment do not go unnoticed.
We encourage everyone to take a moment this Labour Day to remember the workers who came before us, recognize what we have accomplished together, and recommit ourselves to protecting and building upon those gains for the generations who will follow.
We wish you and your families a safe and happy Labour Day.
Govern yourselves accordingly, in solidarity,
