DAYS SINCE WE BEGAN THE BARGAINING PROCESS. WE ARE UNITED AND WE WILL MAKE CHANGE.

Maternity Alternative Duties Mainline and Rouge

In recent months we have had some members who were requesting alternative maternity work and in the case of our Rouge members some were denied accommodation, or it was delayed. To ensure that your rights are respected we encourage members seeking this accommodation to reach out to their Local Union Officers for support, advice and education.  We have filed grievances in the past and will continue to do so if the proper accommodation process is not followed.  Accommodation is a process that should include the members, the Union and the Company. Always remember to include your Local Union office on any emails you have with the employer regarding this, and if you have any further questions about accommodation in general, please feel free to reach out to us.  We can be reached at contact@accomponent.ca.
