As you may be aware, Canada Post has gone on strike, which means Simply Voting is currently unable to send out your voting information for the upcoming Local Vice President vacancy election via regular mail.
At this time, there is no clear indication of how long the strike will last. If it resolves within the next couple of weeks, there may still be enough time to send the letters, though delays are possible due to backlog once postal services resume.
Please note: Regardless of the postal disruption, your voting information will still be sent to all members electronically on the morning the vote opens, October 20, 2025, as usual.
If you no longer wish to receive physical mail, you can opt out at any time by emailing contact@accomponent.ca. Please use “Opt-Out” as the subject line of your email and include the following information in your message:
• First and last name
• Employee Number
Members who opt out of physical mailings will continue to receive all election materials electronically. Members who do not opt out will receive both electronic and mailed copies.
