June is Pride Month – a time to celebrate love, diversity, and the power of solidarity. This month we stand proudly with our 2SLGBTQIA+ members, colleagues, and communities.
Pride is more than a celebration – it’s a recognition of resilience, history, and the continuing pursuit of a world where everyone is free to be their authentic selves. We acknowledge the contributions, struggles, and courage of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals past and present, and reaffirm our commitment to creating inclusive spaces for all.
We know that visibility, equity, and inclusion are not optional – they are fundamental rights. Pride Month reminds us of the ongoing fight for justice and equality, both in our workplaces and beyond. Whether in the air or on the ground, we are stronger when we lift each other up.
As part of this important month, today, June 28th, we also mark International LGBT Pride Day, a day that commemorates the global movement for queer liberation. It is both a celebration and a call to action – a reminder of the Stonewall uprising in 1969 and of the ongoing struggle for safety, dignity, and equal rights for 2SLGBTQIA+ people everywhere.
We stand for safe and inclusive working conditions for all, zero tolerance for discrimination and harassment, respect for gender identity and expression, and equal rights and representation in both our union and company policies.
Together, let’s continue to build a union that reflects the diversity, compassion, and courage of its members. We are proud of our 2SLGBTQIA+ flight attendants – and we celebrate you, not just in June, but all year long.
