The Union is aware of a shooting incident in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood of Montreal, where a class of members doing flow-through training have been lodging.
Currently only preliminary reports exist, and the Union is focusing on supporting its members.
At this time:
- The Union has reached out to the company for its knowledge of the incident and response plans.
- The Union is reaching out to its members, who are sheltering in place per instructions from the authorities at their hotel.
- The Union’s EAP Chair is requesting that the company provide trauma/crisis counselors to its workers impacted by this incident.
We will provide further updates as necessary.
