From May 24th to May 28th, 2011, CUPE Ontario’s Conference is being held at the same hotel where we are bargaining with our Employer. The Bargaining Committee seized the moment! We took part in a rally as part of CUPE Ontario’s Conference. Jeff Taylor, your Component President, addressed over 1,200 delegates. His speech was followed by an organized march of over 1,000 delegates to Queen’s Park in front of the Ontario Government’s Legislature. We were very pleased to see Local Vice-Presidents from across the country join us in the rally while they were in YYZ for training activities! Members of the media were there too.
We were also proud to stand in solidarity with our Sisters and Brothers from the CAW Local 2002 at the CUPE Ontario Rally.
