The Move Me News (December edition) contains a paragraph about brevets, therefore as a result your Union wanted to take this opportunity to reiterate the interim award issued by Arbitrator Louisa Davie on August 2, 2016, regarding name brevets. Click HERE to view. As per her award, Arbitrator Davie ruled that:
Air Canada will maintain its policy of three brevet options and Cabin Personnel will have the choice of:
1. Wearing a brevet consisting of a first name only and position title, or
2. Wearing a brevet consisting of a first name pseudonym and position title, or
3. Not wearing a brevet at all.
These are your three options. If you choose the third option of not wearing a brevet, discipline can not be imposed.
