A Message From The President – Brevets

Dear Members,

On August 2, 2016, Arbitrator Louisa Davie issued an interim award relating to name brevets.  A copy of her interim award is attached to this bulletin, click HERE to view.

The effect of the interim award is that Air Canada will maintain three brevet options.

You have the following three options:

  1. Wearing a brevet consisting of a first name only and position title;
  2. Wearing a brevet consisting of an approved first name pseudonym and position title;
  3. Not wearing a brevet.

You might also like to review the Company’s bulletin of July 7, 2016 relating to brevets, a copy of which is attached, click HERE to view.

If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact your Local.

In solidarity,

Michel Cournoyer
President, Air Canada Component of CUPE
