In recent days there have been reports coming from within the membership of conflict and difficult conversations happening in the workplace and beyond. We have also witnessed some of this on social media platforms. We understand that these times are incredibly challenging and that so many members have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in both their professional and personal lives. We encourage all members to reach out to EAP for resources if they find that they are overwhelmed.

In times like these we should remember that our greatest strength is in the power of our collective. We understand that all members come from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. The key is to learn to find a common thread and to work to find a way forward through mutual respect.
There are many days ahead in which your executive will continue to put their own personal perspectives aside in order to do what is right for the membership as a whole. We will always remember the importance of solidarity and though it seems like just a concept, it is a living and breathing thing that we will protect and draw strength from.
In solidarity,
