Pay Committee Update

Last month we advised you of the newly created Pay Committee which is overseen by the Component President and is available to review your pay for the last 12 months. This service does not have a charge and will review the contractual pay requirements that you would be entitled to. We have advised Air Canada Rouge of the challenges in verifying pay when there is no pay statement breakdown, and at this time will try to work with them on a means to do this. Until we have a method to verify Air Canada Rouge members’ pay, we are saving the emails you have sent, and will reach out when we have a means to verify. At this time we are only able to confidently verify the pay for Mainline employees, including members from Rouge who have flowed over to Mainline.

For all months received, we will review:
– Expenses
– Hours Paid
– Aircraft-specific Service Director Rate of Pay
– Trip Hour Guarantees / Duty Period Guarantees
– Vacation Pay / Credits
– Minimum Monthly Guarantee Calculations
– Duty Overtime Credits
– Continuous Duty Day credits
– Federal Minimum Wage
– Pay protection vs Reassignment
– Shoe Allowance
– Passport Reimbursement (if applicable)

To allow us to fully go over your pay, you must ensure your globe schedule is unblocked and also select “All Activities” for all bases for all SDs and FAs. To do this follow the instructions below:

Sign into DESKTOP Globe:
Log into Aeronet, once in click “In-flight Service”, then click “Globe”
Then, click on ‘Settings’ at the top
Then, ‘Privacy’ policy on the left
Select all boxes for FA and SD in the ‘Flight Only’ AND ‘All Activities’
(You should have 16 checked boxes at minimum here)

As we have had a very large uptick in members reaching out, we would also like members to send in their individual Block Awards. Below is the ‘how to’ for finding your individual award:

Please log into Aeronet, once in click “In-flight Service”, then “Crew Scheduling and Planning”, then “Training Awards – Block Awards – Contesting”.
Then, sign into PBS AWARDS using your Aeronet password details
Select ‘PBS Award’ on the top left
Click on each link in the Award column pertaining to every month and save as PDF.

Please send the following information and documentation in one email:

  1. Name
  2. Employee Number
  3. Airline
  4. Base

Next, you need to download the following:

Mainline:

  1. Log into ACaeronet
  2. Click on “HR Connex”
  3. Under “$ Pay & Compensation” click on “Flight Summary”
  4. Download PDFs of your last 12 block months under “Flying Block Month”
  5. Return to HR Connex
  6. Under “$ Pay & Compensation” click on “Pay Statements”
  7. Download PDFs corresponding to last 12 months of paycheques under “View Paycheque”

Finally, please let us know:

  1. Do you have any pay issues / claims pertaining to the last 12 months that are pending?  YES/NO? (If yes, attach PDFs.)
  1. Have you filed for a passport renewal (if entitled) in your last 12 months?  YES/NO?

Once you have gathered all of the above information, please attach it to one email, and send to pay@accomponent.ca. Please do not include any passwords!

Please note, if you have made any pay claims to the company, and they have been approved or denied, please send a screen shot to us for documentation on the shortfalls of the current payroll system.

Once the committee has evaluated your pay documentation, we will advise you by email on how to process; you will need to complete all claims yourself. Once completed, please ensure you reply to the email and advise us of its completion.

As we mentioned above, we have seen a very large increase in the number of members reaching out to utilize this service. We are trying to get to each request as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience during this process.

Please reach out with any questions to pay@accomponent.ca.

In Solidarity,

Wesley Lesosky
