Dear Reserves,
Recently we have been made aware that many members have been working into their RDO and have not received the draft premium as per the Collective Agreement. This is new language as of the last contract and certainly something you are entitled to. If you work into your RDO, please contact crew scheduling to ensure the draft premium is applied, if it is not applied AND if it is not added after contacting crew scheduling, please contact reserve@accomponent.ca or your Local Union office to have us look into it for you.
Members have also been reporting that they are being asked to call back with regards to having a release or assignment given when calling in after completing 77 hours. Please reference B8.11. Remember you need 2 reserve days remaining and must have reached 77:00 hours of flying. If you have any pre-selects remaining in the month, you need to complete them to have them included in the 77 hours.
A friendly reminder, as per B8.20.02, you are only required to do two (2) airport standbys a month, unless all members have done (2) two. If you are assigned a third airport standby in a month, please email reserve@accomponent.ca and we will investigate for you at the time of assignment.
We are always available if you require at both reserve@accomponent.ca and your Local Union office, please do not hesitate to reach out.
In solidarity,
Wesley Lesosky
Chairperson, Reserve Committee
