Rouge Policy Grievance for Contesting Not Honored

Your Union was made aware following the October 2019 block award that the unstacking (“coverage”) for our Rouge Montreal Base had 100% of its members affected. Your Union immediately reached out to the Company and requested a re-run of the block awards. This was completed, and coverage again affected 100% of the base. We expected a contesting period to follow this re-run as per the Collective Agreement. A contesting period was not actioned, which is a gross violation of our members’ right to contest their award (L55.14.07.02).

Your Union filed the attached policy grievance, CHQ-rouge-19-65, today (click HERE to view).
